When you go out with friends...who drives?!?!
consider the facts:
- one person works every week night, the other works weekends
- one person has a cd player and ipod and must be listening to a good song always, the other doesnt mind the radio
- one person has a car in good condition, the other needs to replace majority of the engine
- one person has airconditioning and winges when its hot, the other has no aircon and thinks the windows work fine
- one person earns alot of money and has shitloads in savings, the othe stuggles to get by
- one person wants to go out all the time and generally instigates outings, the other goes as a tagalong...
so which of these 2 people would you expect to drive?! person 1, or person 2?? its person one right? the person with the car that works, who winges when its hot, who has the music they want, who has a car that runs properly, who has heaps of money and can afford fuel, who actually wants to go out...well when it comes to my friends...your wrong! i am person 2, and generally the one forced into driving. Exscuses i get are, well monique is coming so she can drive if you dont want to - but this person wont let them drive their car so mine is always the one used (monique being a learner driver) - or; i have no fuel - and when this is followed by well neither do i the excuse becomes i havent been able to transfer money - or; i went out last night im to tired - even though i worked the night before and am beyond exhausted - or; the person just decides they wont go, until they convince you that you have to go and then they force you to drive because they didnt want to go in the first place....
I can understand being the driver when i make plans or decide to go somewhere, but when someone calls and says come hang out, be ready in 15...you kind of expect them to be the one driving!!! am i wrong in that assumption?!?! because if i am then please let me know, because as far as i am concerned my kind and giving nature is being grosly taken advantage of and i really dont like it. AT ALL!!!
So, how does one rectify a situation like this...(this isnt a lead on to another part of my discussion, its a genuine question)...
So if you have in tips or suggestions on how i can deal with this, please let me know...
